Premium activated carbon reduces chlorine taste and odor that may cause corrosion and the chlorine smell commonly found in the ice bin. Built-in scale inhibitor reduces the ability of calcium and magnesium to precipitate on the evaporator plates as hard scale. The fi ltration media reduces sediment particles that can clog solenoid valves and distribution tubes. Features: IceAssure products feature Sanitary Quick Change Cartridges for ease of service and reduced possibility of outside contamination. A built-in automatic shut-off valve in the IceAssure filter heads allows cartridge changeout without the need for external shut-off valves. The pressure gauge monitors pressure spikes and reminds operator of scheduled cartridge changeouts. A choice of two cartridge technologies allows flexibility to match various water conditions. A premium blend of high adsorption activated carbon is highly effective in the removal of chlorine, bad tastes/odors. Timed release scale inhibition protects equipment against scale build-up and reduces equipment downtime. Specifications: Systems incorporate a unibody manifold design with built-in pressure gauge. Carbon fi lter cartridges incorporate either a multi-composite carbon block or granular activated carbon and a built-in, time released scale inhibitor. Each individual filter head includes an internal automatic 1/4 turn shut-off valve. Filter cartridges are o-ring seal type. System maximum operating pressure of 125 psi (862 kPa) and operating temperature of 100°F (37.8°C). System materials are NSF and/or FDA CFR-21 compliant. Cartridges are sanitary in design, requiring no contact with the fi lter media during single cartridge change-out. Filter cartridges require no pre-activation.
